Recipe for Shillelagh Law: 1) Start with a mix of rowdy Irish and Scottish pub songs, lightning-fingered jigs and reels, a
cappella sea shanties in harmony, and an occasional moving Celtic ballad.
Shillelagh Law has been an institution in the Birmingham Irish community for a number of years and through several personnel changes. The band first came together in March of 1999 when Bailey’s Irish Pub opened up in Birmingham's Southside. Energetic guitarist/vocalist Beau Goss, fiddler Leo McDermott, bassist Jeremy Burns, and bodhran player Beth Wetheral packed out the house every Sunday night. Other former members include Dain Forsythe on bodhran, whistle, bagpipes & vocals. The current lineup is:
